Hi all!
Hope you had a lovely Christmas and are ready for a Crafty New Year! I don't know about you but I feel that for me it is definitely time to get back crafting and I just happen to have the right project to help you get your mojo back. This tutorial was originally created to be published on issue 3 of Crafters United Ireland Magazine, but unfortunately the owner had to close down for personal reasons. I wish Celia all the best for the future and I can certainly say that I will miss her magazine. But, with Valentine's Day only a few weeks away, this Romantic Decoupaged Frame is just perfect for the occasion! And you can just use a different rice paper (lovely new designs will be available from March) to transform it into a lovely present for Mother's Day! Enjoy! Erica Wishing all my lovely followers a very Happy Christmas. Thank you so much for all your continued support. Looking forward to improve and expand the business in the new year in order to offer you a great shopping experience, along with the inspiration you need to bring your crafty projects to the next level! Warm regards, Erica Hi everyone!
I am running a new competition on my facebook page and I think you'd like it. I was thinking that I would love to see more of your work and what you do with the beautiful papers that you have bought from me, so I have decided to award the BEST (in my humble opinion) decoupage project made with Stamperia rice papers. To enter, simply log in to Cottage Chic Interiors and post a picture of your masterpieces. The winner will be announced on the 18th December and will get a 20% voucher off their next order on my webstore. Looking forward to seeing all your projects! Erica xx Hi everyone! As Halloween is now just a distant memory, we are officially entitled to declare the start of the Festive Season and I've decided to have a browse around Dublin's shops to share with you my findings. There's no such thing as enough inspiration when home decor is concerned and Christmas decor in particular can be so diverse and varied. I personally love so many different styles I would probably need to own 20 houses and do something completely different in each one of them. Anyways... this week I had a little browse in Dunnes Stores, and this is what caught my eye: LOTS OF SPARKLES, GLITTER AND SNOW PASTE EFFECT! My advise would be to buy a big bag of cheap, plain Christmas Baubles and then transform them copying these! These tea light holders are gave me some great ideas to decorate some glass jars. Golden Metallic Wax or Patina , or some glittery Glass Paste and stencils would easily add the Wow Factor to recreate this look! And finally, this snow flakes decoration that looks very similar to the one I made a few weeks ago, using my flexible moulds, ceramic powder, white wax and glitter! Have you got some ideas that you'd wish to share with us?
Please feel free to post suggestions, inspiration and images of your work! Cottage Chic Interiors and Little Paper Mill have joined forces, now all our crafty brides can buy wedding invitations on www.littlepapermill.ie that will match our craft supplies!
